ASHLAND, Ore. -- An Ashland woman launched her local documentary "Earth Seasoned #GapYear" this weekend.
It was filmed in the Cascades in July of 2015. The filming process covered five girls living in the mountains for a full year.
The producer said they got over 160 hours of footage, and condensed it into the story of one young woman who struggled in school but found herself in nature.
"My ultimate goal is to get it into middle and high schools because I really want to show kids that time spent in nature is so important. Just to get away, disconnect, and re-find themselves," Molly Kreuzman said.
The premiere was sold out Thursday night, and the next showing is Sunday April 9th.
