KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. -- The Blue Zones Project is working with the Klamath Falls Downtown Association to create programming for the city this summer.

This includes farmers markets, and next week the Blue Zones is hosting a Bike to Work Day along with multiple city cleanups. The goal of the organization is to increase wellness across the city.

"People have seemed to jump on board for this idea of well-being as opposed to just health, diet, and exercise. And that's really what the Blue Zones project is all about," engagement coordinator Cort Cox said.

Shasta Elementary and the Oregon Department of Transportation are just some of the groups involved in clean-up projects next Thursday. Bike to Work Day will be hosted by the Blue Zones next Friday.
