Update: Officials say the Camp Fire has now claimed nine lives

Update as of 6:00 p.m. on Friday, November 9:
According to the Butte County Sheriff's Office, nine people are now confirmed dead in the Camp Fire.
According to the Butte County Sheriff's Office, five people have been found dead so far as a result of the Camp Fire.
Officials said investigators with the Butte County Sheriff's Office found the five people in the area of Edgewood Lane in Paradise.
A preliminary investigation revealed the victims were found in vehicles that were overcome by fire.
Due to the burn injuries, identification could not be immediately made.
The Butte County Sheriff's Office said they have formed an interagency team to investigate and identify additional fatalities.
Officials added the task is difficult due to the fact that the fire is still active and there are many hazards in areas where fatalities have been reported.
