Camp 17 is expanding their program and adding something new for couples. "Basecamp" is the new addition where couples can come together, work out and prepare for the adventure ahead.

Founders Lu Crenshaw and Shantell Dayton said the idea began with Camp 17 after many of the women started seeing a change in their lives and wanted to share it with their partners.

"They started telling us: "oh my gosh you'll never believe the conversation I had with my husband last night after I came home from camp," said Crenshaw. "And so these women are coming home there husbands are hearing what they are talking about and they are experiencing the journey with them even though they are not here. So we finally gave into it and said we have no idea what this looks like but let's do it."

"The vision of Basecamp is really to connect couples together," said Dayton. "When a man and a woman come together and when they decide that they want something bigger for their life, bigger for their life together, bigger for their family for the world its inevitable that things are going to stand in the way of that."

Registration for Basecamp opens Monday, January 22nd at 7 in the morning. There will be 12 spots open for this first class. Childcare will be provided at cost.
