Central Point crash shuts down Table Rock near Medford Airport

A driver is recovering in the hospital after a head-on collision Monday morning on Table Rock Rd near the Medford-Airport.

The rescue call came in at 6:06 A.M. in the 4600 block of Table Road Road, half-way between W. Vilas Rd and Biddle Rd.

The crash involved two pick-up trucks, one making a left hand turn into the path of the other.

One driver was transported to the hospital with a broken collar bone but is expected to be okay. The other driver was not seriously injured.

Cpl. James Biddle of the Jackson County Sheriff's Office tells News 10 the driver traveling northbound hit the soundbound driver while trying to enter the FedEx facility parking lot.

The driver was cited for making an unsafe left turn.

Law enforcement shut down the two southbound lanes on Table Rock Rd to allow a tow truck to attend to the vehicles for about an hour.

Northbound lanes of Table Rock are currently open to traffic.
