City holds Town Hall to get residents input about Main Street changes
PHOENIX, Ore —
Residents in Phoenix were able to hear options and give their input about restructuring Main Street.
The once two lane street was changed to one lane in an experiment years ago, and now the city wants to change it again.
During the meeting, a presentation was given showing the five different options.
There plans would change the road back into two lanes, with each plan having a different layout for bike lanes and parking spaces.
The other two options would keep the road at one lane, and each have different layouts for bike lanes and parking spaces.
One city council member says residents he spoke with are divided; some want to keep the street the way it is, and others want to change it back to the two lane.
