CENTRAL POINT, Ore. - The Central Point community got together at Robert Pfaff Park today to help raise money for a community member’s kidney-pancreas transplant.

Janae Wadley has been battling with type 1 diabetes since she was 17 months old.

When she was 13 she lost her vision and now she has stage 5 kidney failure, which is why a fundraiser was organized in her honor.

"As family, which family is huge for us, we all pulled together said and it’s time to step up and help her. She is second on the transplant list at OHSU so there is a sense of urgency here," said Rebecca Waldron, Wadley’s aunt and campaign chairman.

A live auction, face painting, bake sales and more were put on to help raise $25,000 dollars.
