Wounded man dropped off at ER
A 22-year-old man was dropped off at the Providence Medford Medical Center emergency room with a single, non life-threatening gunshot wound Thursday morning.
Medford police responded to the hospital at 6:46 a.m. after learning of the injury. Officers learned the man had been dropped off, and that the person who drove him had left the scene. Additional information on the incident was not available.
"Detectives are continuing the investigation, but information to the public is limited at this time," a Medford police news release says.
Police were also over in the area of Prune and Benson streets — near Union Park — investigating it as the potential location where the 22-year-old was injured.
"We haven't been able to confirm that yet," said Lt. Mike Budreau.
