Four people were arrested arrested in a drug bust in east Medford Tuesday night.

The drug bust happened at a house located close to North Medford High School on Stillwater Court.

Medford Police say anytime there is drug dealing close to a high school, there's increased penalties.

Lt. Mike Budreau says user amounts of heroin and dealer amounts of methamphetamine were found in house.

Residents have been complaining about the house for about three months, almost on a daily basis.

Since the complaints, police have been giving the area extra patrol, hoping the increased enforcement would make the drug activity stop.

"It created a big livability issue for the residents. They didn't feel safe. They didn't feel their kids could be outside because you basically have people under the influence coming and going," Lt. Budreau said.

He says the four suspects, who were arrested, were known to be struggling with drug addiction.
