Gold Hill residents lose power in early morning hours Thursday
GOLD HILL, Ore. —
UPDATE (11:22 a.m.) -
As of 10:08 a.m. power was restored to all customers affected by the outage in Gold Hill. Pacific Power says that a downed line on the ground caused the initial outage. As to why the line was down to begin with is unclear to them, however they stated that their main priority was to fix the line and restore power to residents.
UPDATE (7:47 a.m.) - Power has been restored to 1600 customers. 438 remain without power. Power is estimated to be restored by 10:00 Thursday morning.
More than 2000 residents in Gold Hill are without power Thursday morning.
The outage was first reported just after 6:15 a.m.
Pacific Power crews are currently investigating the cause of the power outage.
There is currently no timetable for power to be restored. On PP&L's website, the company says "Estimated Restore: Assessing."
