Goose 2 fire reaches 150 acres

U.S. Forest Service, California state and local fire crews and multiple aircraft were on scene on Wednesday at the Goose Fire burning near Highway 395 north of Sugar Hill.

It was last reported at 150 acres, with no structures threatened.

The fire was burning on the refuge and adjacent private property. Crews stopped the fire on the private land and let the fire on the refuge burn to the waterways.

Crews are now conducting mop-up operations.
