GRANTS PASS, Ore.-- Grants Pass tourism is booming, and summer has not even started yet.

The city said hotels in the city have generated a 17 percent revenue increase since 2014.

With the addition of the new tagline, Live Rogue, the city expects numbers to continue to climb. City leaders made the decision Wednesday night, passing the vote 5 to 3. City councilors hope the Live Rogue brand will improve the city's economic outlook.

"This year in transient room tax receipts, we brought in over $190,000 more than we did in the prior year," Assistant City Manager David Reeves said. "So having our numbers go up is a very good thing for Grants Pass."

The mayor said the Live Rogue logo will start appearing on city cars and property this year.
