Hannon library beats out Ivy-League college libraries
Asland, Ore. —
The Hannon library at Southern Oregon University was ranked top 20th college library in the nation according to a study by independent educational organization Ed-Smart.
Hannon beat out top Ivy-League college libraries including Yale, Princeton and Cornell to name a few.
This recognition was largely in part by their immense collection of government archived documents spanning from the department of defense to senate hearings.
"We collected and digitized government information that this unique bio region the bio region of southern Oregon and northern California are very unique."
Said Dorothy Ormes Librarian and associate professor.
Hannon library celebrated their 65th anniversary last month with a collaborative display from most of the departments on the SOU campus.
