High school students awarded top college scholarship
Senior at Cascade Christian High School, Colby Edwards, was awarded the Oregon State University Presidential Scholarship.
The scholarship is the most competitive and prestigious award the school gives out.
Edwards was awarded 40,000 dollars, split up between four years.
There were 755 students who applied and only 89 of them were awarded.
Recipients had to have a 3.85 unweighted and a 29 ACT or 1360 SAT score.
Other students in the Rogue Valley were rewarded this scholarship in the.
Julian Rice at Ashland High School, Matthew Hageman North Medford High School and Benjamin Hillen at South Medford, were also awarded.
