Vegetation fire breaks out in Siskiyou County

Siskiyou County, Calif. —
UPDATE 7:30 a.m.:
The fire has increased in size to 15 acres. Crews have reached 50% containment.
Crews will be out there today and into this evening working on the fire.
ORIGINAL 8:00 p.m.:
A new vegetation fire broke out on Wednesday night in Siskiyou County near the Iron Gate Dam.
The fire began around 7:55 p.m.
Cal Fire Siskiyou County Unit told News 10 the fire has burned more than 10 acres. Crews have stopped the forward progress of the fire and have reached 15% containment.
Crews are working overnight on the fire. No evacuations are in place at this time.
