Local school districts help with counseling after three students die

The Eagle Point School District along with family and friends are mourning the loss of three students who died Saturday night.

The Eagle Point Superintendent, Cynda Rickert, says she's making sure students and staff are getting the help they need to get through the loss.

Counseling is being provided by the district along with the the help from the Medford School District.

Medford School District, Communications Specialist, Natalie Hurd, says students need time and resources to grieve appropriately.

"We were able to send over two Guidance Couselors and one Office Manager from South [South Medford High School] and then one Guidance Couselor from North [North Medford High School]" Hurd said.

Eagle Point High School opened Sunday to support students and staff.

Graduation for the school district is in June and staff say the three seniors who lost their lives will be honored.
