TALENT, Ore.-- The marijuana industry is booming.

Oregon Cannabis Jobs Report said 2,156 jobs grew out of the industry, and the agency expects $46 million to be generated in 2016 by the retail cannabis sector.

The industry is not only booming at the state-level, but also locally.

"Definitely been some extra demand," Talent Health Club Manager Andrew Robison said. "We extended our hours for two hours a day, and a little bit of turnover but for the most part, sales are up."

Robison said the pot shop now closes at 8 p.m., and he has hired four additional staff members to keep up with the industry.
