Marijuana industry sees growth two years after recreational legalization
Medford, Ore. - Two years ago, recreational marijuana became legal in Oregon.
Shop owners and workers believe the industry is heading in the right direction, even with restrictions from the Oregon Liquor Control Commission, but there is still plenty of work to be done in Oregon for the legalized marijuana business.
"One of the changes should be having a little more regulations on how many dispensaries are opening," Jill Lefebvre, the store manager at Breeze Botanicals in Ashland, said. "I think that I'm afraid of the market being flooded and not everybody following the same regulations. "
People in the industry believe the higher regulations affect marijuana producers much more than the dispensaries.
