Medford Police respond to overnight drive by shooting

The Medford Police Department has released new information regarding the shooting that happened near Barnett Road and Riverside Ave.
A Jackson County Sheriff's Office Deputy heard gunshots in the area at approximately 12:32 a.m. Monday. The deputy stopped a car with multiple bullet holes in the trunk and rear window. When making contact with the driver, it was discovered that the individual was shot at multiple times, and several rounds hit the car, according to authorities.
An MPD detective has taken over the case this morning, which is still under investigation.

Late Sunday night into Monday morning, Medford Police received calls regarding a shooting near Barnett Road and Riverside Ave.
Police released limited details, but noted the shooting was a drive-by incident. Shots were fired from a vehicle.
MPD did not release any details on the vehicle's description, but said there were no injuries in regards to incident.
Medford Police would not disclose what the shots were fired at, but said more information would be released later Monday morning.
