Missing: Man last seen on Hwy 227

Dale Westrom has been found safe and "in good condition," according to the Jackson County Sheriff's Office.

Jackson County Sheriff’s Office search and rescue personnel are looking for a missing Trail man.

Dale Westrom, 43, was last seen on Saturday, April 13, 2019, at around 6:00 a.m. He was walking along Highway 227 at the 44-mile marker, near the intersection with National Forest Road 32, according to authorities.

Westrom was reportedly going mushroom hunting, but he may have become confused and walked west in an attempt to get to Sutherlin. On Monday, April 15, 2019, a friend reported him missing.

Westrom is described as a white male with brown hair, hazel eyes, and a goatee. He is five-feet, nine-inches tall and weighs approximately 195 pounds. He was last seen wearing a black baseball cap, an orange hooded sweatshirt, a green or blue raincoat, blue jeans, and brown boots. He was carrying a black backpack. Westrom has difficulty communicating verbally due to a medical condition, according to authorities.
