Missing Wimer man found alive & well

UPDATE (5:45 p.m.)

Authorities have found Billy Brand Monday evening after he went missing from his home earlier today. The Jackson County Sheriff's Office reports that he was found alive and well, and is being returned to his home.


A patient with Dementia is missing out of the Wimer area, according to the Jackson County Sheriff's Office.

Eighty-six-year-old Billy Brand is thought to have walked off sometime between 9:30 a.m. and noon on Monday, August 19th. He lives off of Redthorne Road. Brand was last seen wearing blue jeans and a denim shirt with a Boston Terrier cartoon on the back. He does not have a phone with him, according to the JCSO.

Brand is described to be a white man, approximately 5'6" tall and 165 pounds. He is bald and has hazel eyes.

Both Sheriff's Office Deputies and Search and Rescue volunteers are looking for him. Anyone with information about the location of Brand is asked to contact Sergeant Shawn Richards at 541-774-6800.
