More parking meters might make their way downtown
Medford, Ore. —
The city of Medford currently has set up a commission to investigate the benefits and downfalls of adding new parking meters in the downtown area.
During an eight am meeting on Thursday, August 8th the commission decided to invest seventeen thousand dollars on a company to study the current parking situation.
Brame Northwest is the name of the company and the study is scheduled to take six weeks.
"But because we're self-funded all of that money has to come from somewhere and so we believe that a good incremental step in the right direction would be to assess whether parking meters might be a good option."
Said Alex Poythress, Medford Parking Commissioner.
