Police are investigating a rash of business break ins along Sage Road, and they believe the same suspects are responsible.

They said as many as six or seven industrial businesses were either vandalized or broken into early Sunday morning.

Huttig Building Products, Farwest Steel and Sasco Fasteners were among those victimized.

Both the Jackson County Sheriff's Office and Medford Police are investigating the incidents.

Police said law enforcement were notified around 5 or 6 Sunday morning after an alarm was tripped in one of the buildings.

"While officers were working the original location they had been sent, while canvassing the area and looking around they kind of noticed that other businesses had been hit," said Corporal Joshua Schilder of the Medford Police Department. "So the suspects had also broken the windows of other businesses using the same M.O."

Schilder said the suspects didn't make entry at all of the businesses, as some were only vandalized.

An employee at Farwest Steel said though someone did enter the building, they didn't take anything of significant value.

"They stuck their hand through the window," said Chad Griffin, Operations manager for Farwest Steel. "They got in, they rifled through stuff, but really besides a couple of walkie-talkies and a cordless headset, that's all they took."

Police say they believe the suspects may have used broken pieces of sidewalk or curbing to break the glass.

They have yet to release further information, but Schilder confirmed there is a lead in the case.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police.
