SISKIYOU COUNTY, Calif. —
Detectives from Oregon State Police and Medford Area Drug and Gang Enforcement arrested 41-year-old Eddie Dodge.
According to Jackson County Jail documents, he has no charges listed for Jackson County, but is considered a fugitive from California. He was lodged in the Jackson County Jail on Saturday.
According to Sheriff Jon Lopey, Dodge will be transported to the Siskiyou County Jail where he will face murder charges in the death of 31-year-old Hunter Sims from Sugarland, Texas.
Siskiyou County Sheriff's Office's Major Crimes Unit worked with the Siskiyou County District Attorney, Siskiyou Unified Major Investigation Team (SUMIT) and North State Major Investigation Team (NSMIT). Both of the latter agencies specialize in drug-related trafficking offenses and major general crimes-related investigations, according to Lopey.
