New medical marijuana laws go into effect
TALENT, Ore-- New medical marijuana laws went into effect Tuesday.
The changes are part of HB 3400 which was passed last year by the Oregon Legislature.
The bill specifically impacts medical marijuana patients.
Some of the key points on the new law include:
Medical marijuana patients can have an unlimited amount of immature plants.
Dispensaries can only sell 50 immature plant seeds per day to each customer.
Each customer can only buy 4 plants per day.
"It's going to put a big burden on people coming and getting the medicine all in one trip or if they need a lot they might not be able get it. We don't know what kind of disease they have and what they might need," said Andrew Robison with Talent Health Club.
