A fire broke out Wednesday evening at the Travelodge hotel on NW Vine Street in Grants Pass.

Grants Pass Department of Public Safety Fire Rescue Division arrived on the scene just before 8 p.m. The first responders found smoke coming from the roof vents of the second floor of the hotel.

Grants Pass Police aided in evacuating guests while fire crews quickly located the fire. The source of the fire was hidden inside a wall and attic space, according to GPDPS. Once the ceiling and wall was opened to expose the fire, the flames were extinguished.

Firefighters checked surrounding rooms to ensure the fire had not spread. No injuries were reported during this incident. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
