Online tools to help local businesses

Whether you’re a brand-new business or looking to expand what you have now, The Chamber of Medford-Jackson County has a couple of new tools to help.

Both can be found online and Chamber President Brad Hicks says the idea is to keep businesses in Jackson County successful.

Both tools are sponsored by BBSI or Barrett Business Services Incorporated.

“We’ve been working with the chamber for a while and these resources work in line with our mission,” Joe Rossi of BBSI says.

One of the tools is strictly for chamber members. It’s called “Size Up,” and helps existing businesses grow and expand.

“It answers those questions that keep business owners up at night, like, where should I advertise? Who are my customers?” Hicks says.

The other, “Resource for Business Success” is open for any business, whether they are a member or not. Hicks says it is very valuable for start-ups and entrepreneurs. Business owners can find topics regarding business license or how to register the name of their business with the state. There are also resources for hiring, growing business and keeping in line with government regulations.

"The way for the chamber to be a catalyst for their growth and our local economy's growth is to provide them the tools to get the job done whether they're a baker or a car dealer or a manufacturer. These tools will be helpful to all of them and at the end of the day, we all benefit when each of them does better,” Hicks says.

Hicks says both resources would not be possible without BBSI’s sponsorship.
