JACKSONVILLE, Ore. - A record number of wineries entered the Oregon Wine Experience competition this year.
More than 100 Oregon wineries are participating in the competition.
The chairman of the competition, Bruce Nicholson, says best of the best will be at the event.
"It's very competitive and carefully analyzed by these world class judges. Only the absolute best wines in the state are going to be featured for the Oregon wine experience," said Nicholson.
He says, judges will be coming all the way from Australia to be apart of the event. Every winery will include five of their best wines.
The competition will be held at Bigham Knoll Campus in August, the event will kick off August 21st.
The cost to enter the competition is $50 with all proceeds going to Asante's Children's Miracle Network.
