Keanon Lowe, the Parkrose coach and security guard who tackled a student armed with a shotgun on the Parkrose High School campus Friday, took to Twitter to express his thoughts and feelings about the situation, and his admiration for law enforcement.

Lowe, a former University of Oregon and Jesuit High School standout athlete, began work at Parkrose last year, and he's already built a strong bond not just with the athletes he coaches, but the entire student body.

He said the universe presented him with a test in the second tweet of a three-part thread.

In closing, he said he's glad everybody was OK and he thanks the Portland Police Bureau for their actions.

The student, 18-year-old Angel Dias, is being held at the Multnomah County Detention Center on multiple charges.
