Police: 11 people arrested during Spring Break DUII patrols

Eleven impaired drivers were arrested over the course of a ten-day Spring Break DUII patrol period.

Jackson County Sheriff's Office says from March 23rd to April 1st deputies focused on rural roadways including recreation areas with three arrests happening on one day (March 25th).

Three of the eleven drivers were involved in a crash and the remainder were through patrols or reports. In total nine men and two men with ages that ranged from 25 to 70-years-old were arrested.

One person was arrested for felony DUII due to prior convictions while the rest were charged with misdemeanor driving under the influence of intoxicants (DUII).

All were arrested had a blood alcohol concentration of 0.10 percent or higher with the highest at 0.33 percent.

"Iit’s important to stay alert and call 911 immediately if you suspect an impaired driver on the roadway. You just may save a life, " Deputies said.
