Police: Chiropractor in Medford arrested for sexual abuse


Medford Police arrested the owner of Cooper Chiropractic located in the 700 block of East Main St. for sexual abuse on Wednesday.

MPD says an investigation was launched after receiving three complaints from three female patients of Chiropractor Scott Cooper of unwanted sexual touching during chiropractic adjustments and massage therapy sessions.

The first incident happened in October 2017 and two additional incidents happened in January. In all three cases, the victims included detailed statements about Cooper touching the intimate parts of the female victims.

Cooper was arrested at his business and lodged into the Jackson County Jail on one count of sex abuse in the second degree, ten counts of sexual abuse in the third degree, and four counts of sexual harassment. His bail is set at $77,500.

At the time of the arrest, a fourth victim was identified.

The victims include a 17-year-old, 20-year-old, 24-year-old, and a 32-year-old. MPD will not be releasing the names of the victims.
