Police Investigating Vehicle vs. Pedestrian Hit & Run
Police are investigating a hit-and-run involving a vehicle that struck a pedestrian on Wednesday night.
The incident took place on South Pacific Highway near Garfield Street around 5:15 p.m. in the southbound lanes.
Medford Police say the female pedestrian sustained severe injuries and was taken to a local hospital by Mercy Flights.
She was identified as 26-year-old Chantal Haney. Police tell News 10 that Haney was not in a crosswalk when she was hit.
As of 9p.m., all lanes were re-opened.
The involved vehicle left the scene before officers arrived and has not been located. The vehicle was reported as a sedan (unknown color) missing the rear bumper. The front passenger side may have damage to the front headlight area.
