Police: One man recovering after a stabbing in Medford

Medford Police responded to reports of a stabbing that happened late Wednesday night in the 700 block of Tawn Cheree, a road within the Myra Lynne Mobile Home community along Ross Lane.

When officers arrived on scene they found a 20-year-old male with a stab wound to his upper left chest. The man was taken to a local hospital where he is recovering from his injuries and remains in stable condition.

MPD determined the stabbing happened about 45 minutes before the incident was reported at a parking lot behind a business in the 200 block of West 6th St., in downtown Medford.

Detectives believe the stabbing victim and his friend were involved in an altercation with three other people.

The investigation at this time is ongoing.
