Police search for man in attempted murder, considered armed and dangerous

Police search for suspect involved in an attempted murder at an apartment complex in Medford last weekend.

Medford Police responded to the Village Apartments in the 700 block of Royal Avenue on Sunday after receiving a report of a hit and run.

When officers arrived, they were told gun shots were also heard in the area.

The suspect identified as 33-year-old Chester Iodence was seen riding a stolen bike into the complex parking lot. After he was confronted by the victim he produced a large knife and later a gun.

Iodence fired at both the victim and a second person that tried to intervene. Then turned to fire four shots, two of which went through the windshield on the driver's side of a car occupied by a third person known to the victim.

The driver was not injured, but did crash into three vehicles as he drove away from the scene.

Everyone involved in the incident left the scene before police could arrive, but have since been located and interviewed.

Police are still searching for Iodence and is considered armed and dangerous.

Iodence is facing two counts of attempted murder and three counts of attempted assault.
