Police: Search for suspect in Umpqua Bank robbery

Police are investigating a robbery that happened at the Umpqua Bank on NE F Street in Grants Pass on Monday.

At approximately 10:30 a.m. Grants Pass Department of Public Safety say a male suspect walked up to a teller, asked for money, and said it was a bank robbery.

Theman then ran out of the NE F St. side of the bank then towards NE 7th St. with an undisclosed amount of money.

GPDPS say at the time of the robbery, the man was wearing a grey jacket, black knit hat, sunglasses, and yellow rain pants. When police arrived on scene and searched the area they found that he had discarded his clothes nearby.

The suspect is described as a white, male adult, between 5-feet-10 inches to 6-feet-tall, and weights approximately between 170 to 180 lbs.

A description of what the suspect wore after the robbery is unknown at this time.

No weapons were used during the robbery and no injuries were reported.
