Medford Police: Armed suspect at large following robbery

Police are investigating a robbery at Novedades La Mexicana on West Main St. in Medford on Monday.

Medford Police say the robbery happened at 10:28 a.m. when an armed male suspect walked into the business, demanded money from two employees and then ran off eastbound on Main Street.

The amount of money taken is unknown at this time.

The suspect is described to have a thin built, between 20 to 30-years-old wearing a grey hoody and had a small black bag slung over his back.

MPD says the incident is not connected to any other robberies that took place over the weekend.

The suspect remains at large.

[UPDATE: 5:00 PM]: MPD says the suspect is 6-feet and 3 inches tall, wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt, black sweat pants or cargo pants, black and white tennis shoes, and black Nike gloves. He appears to be wearing a black beanie beneath his hood and face is partially covered by a camouflage mask.

Officers believe the suspect ran through the field located behind Black Bird towards Sunset Ave and have searched the area around Reager St.

The suspect is considered armed and dangerous.
