Two local radio DJ's on Q 100.3 are being nominated in this year's 53rd Academy of Country Music Awards.

The Q Crew with Jason and Ashley are one of the top five nominated for On-Air Personality of The Year Award for a small market.

This is not the first time the crew has been nominated, they were also nominated last year.

"I don't think the shock would ever go away, no matter how many times it would happen, for us, we're both from small towns and to have something so prestigious. In our opinion, it's like our version of a Superbowl, so it's pretty cool," said Morning Co-Host Ashley Main.

"We have a great time all the time, we just like to have fun on the radio and our listeners respond to it, so really that's validation in itself," Morning Co-Host Jason Allen.

Last year, Jason happened to be in Las Vegas when a mass shooting took place at a country music festival.

He says this year will be his first time going back since the incident.

They both say they would not be where they are today without the support from the community.

They also want to thank the whole crew who has been working hard to make this happen.

The ACM's are April 15.
