CENTRAL POINT, Ore.-- Quizno's Bear Creek on Pine Street is closing after 11 years, according to a note from the store's owners.

The store's last day will be Sunday, May 15.

The store owners say the closure is because of equipment repair bills, staffing issues, costs of raising minimum wage, two full time college schedules and 'the arrival of a new family member.'

Some customers said they were surprised to hear about the closure.

"It's sad," customer Teal Merker said. "I wish they kind of had music going. I think they need to get the atmosphere a little better, but it's obviously sad for people."

The note posted on the door of the business and on Facebook urges patrons to support local businesses in the Central Point- North Medford area.

The closure of this Quizno's makes the Springfield and Sacramento locations the closest locations.
