Detectives seek more info on teenage killed while waiting for school bus

Meadow Grace Boyd

A man has come forward to report that his truck may have been the one that killed 13-year-old Meadow Grace Boyd on October 30th.

Jackson County Sheriff's Office says, the man came forward on Thursday, detectives are currently examining the truck to see if it was involved. The man has not been named as a suspect.

Detectives are also working on identifying two additional vehicles that were seen driving north on East Evans Creek Rd between 6:55 a.m. and 7:15 a.m. on October 30th.

One of the cars is described as a white or silver full size pickup and the other is a dark-colored full size pickup.

"Detectives urge the drivers to come forward," the sheriff's office said in a statement. "They say it is important to identify all vehicles seen in the area so they can rule out those that were not involved."

Detectives also expanded on earlier requests for surveillance video. Investigators would now like to hear from people who have surveillance cameras that capture traffic on East Evans Creek Road anywhere between Minthorne Road and Queensbranch Road.

Anyone with information or video are asked to call Detective Steve Bohn or Detective Gabe Burchfiel at 541-774-6800.
