According to Pacific Power's interactive outage map, approximately 1,000 people are without power around Josephine County.

PP Spokesperson Christina Kruger says the outages are primarily in the Williams and Cedar Flat areas, as well as in Grants Pass.

"High winds through the area brought trees downing power lines," Kruger says. "Tree crews are ready as we are addressing multiple outages in the Grants Pass area."

Pacific Power estimates that power will be restored around 6 p.m. Thursday evening.

Current information on outages, as well as contact information, can be found at Pacific Power's website.
