If you were outside around noon on Saturday, you may have heard the rumble of several hundred motorcycles driving by.

That sound marked the 37th annual Southern Oregon Toy Run.

One of the event's organizers said making the holiday season a little brighter for kids is his favorite part of it all.

"Knowing where it's all going. Knowing someone's going to smile that may not have smiled on Christmas because of something, you know," said Mark Daley, an organizer of the event. "To me, that makes a big difference."

A crowd of bikers started the morning at Touvelle Lodge on Table Rock Road.

From there, they piled toys on their bikes and made the thundering ride to Eagle's Lodge.

Daley says there were over 600 riders last year. This year may have been smaller because of the weather.
