ASHLAND, Ore.-- Across Oregon, college tuition may be on the rise.

Southern Oregon University is considering a 2.7% increase for undergraduate students. This would be about a $4 increase per credit.

That is not the only school considering raising tuition, so is the University of Oregon, Oregon State University, and other schools.

"It's very important for Southern Oregon University to do all that we can to ensure that college remains affordable, not only here at SOU, but certainly statewide for all Oregonians," Ryan Brown with SOU said.

A formal recommendation will be adopted in March. The university said all of the money would go towards improving education.
