Two story house burns in Illinois Valley

Thursday morning, Illinois Valley Fire District and Rural Metro Fire responded to a two story building burning along Takilma Road.

The call came in just after 6:00 a.m. about the fire in the 11600 block of Takilma Road. Fortunately, all people inside the building got out without any injuries.

When fire crews arrived, the entire building was on fire. Pacific Power responded to disconnect power to the house. Oregon Department of Forestry responded to prevent the fire from spreading to nearby grasses and trees.

The cause of the fire has not been determined, but is under investigation by the IVFD fire marshal.
