WEED, Calif.-- Fire crews say the Mill Fire is up to 50 acres as of 7:00 p.m. Thursday night.
Fire crews started working on the vegetation fire, which had been estimated to be 10 to 20 acres, that started Thursday afternoon around 3:34 in Weed, according to CalFire public information officer Suzanne Brady.
Brady says the Mill Fire is behind Roseburg Mill, and is burning on extremely dry timber. Fire crews are having difficulty with physical access to the Mill Fire and it is currently at 50 percent containment.
No homes are currently in danger.
Brady tells News10 two air tankers and helicopters were deployed.
