Vigil set for slain Kittitas County Deputy
KITTITAS COUNTY, Wash. -- A Tuesday evening vigil is scheduled for Kittitas County Deputy Ryan Thompson, who lost his life while responding to what started out as a road rage incident last Tuesday.
The vigil will be held outside Kittitas City Hall on March 26th from 7 to 8 P.M..
Deputy Thompson provided 14 years of law enforcement service to the Kittitas area, and is survived by his wife and three kids.
Bank accounts have been set up through U.S. Bank for both Police Officer Benito Chavez’s and Thompson’s families to help with family and funeral expenses.
