UPDATE 11:45 a.m. - Wednesday afternoon, Grants Pass Police responded to Blake Court pursuing Dillon Gomez after receiving a call somebody had seen the attempted murder suspect.

Gomez is wanted, and still at large, for attempted murder of Eddie Correia Jr. in Cave Junction earlier this week.

Police surrounded the home and asked the occupants to come outside. Megdelano Thomas Torres, 33, Beau Joseph Burt, 27 and Amanda Nochole Gerken, 24, did not respond. Grants Pass SWAT was activated due to increased threat of weapons and severity of crimes involved.

"The belief that the subject was in there and he was armed, that kind of elevates the risk to the officers and the public," said GPPD Depuy Chief Jim Hamilton. "We don't want to force a shoot, so we do everything that we can to try to convince the individual to come out so there is no force incident or deadly force that has to be used."

SWAT used 'diversion devices and chemical munitions' to get the house's occupants outside. Eventually, one male subject left the residence and was taken into custody. Based on statements made by the three, police still believed Gomez was inside.

Oregon State Police SWAT were called to assist GPPD. Eventually, investigators determined Gomez was not inside the residence. GPPD says his location is not known, so he is still at large.

Grants Pass Department of Public Safety Deputy Chief Jim Hamilton said its possible Gomez left the residence prior to officers' arrival.

Torres was booked in the Josephine County Jail and charged with a warrant out of Medford for Failure to Appear for a DUII.

Burt was booked and charged with probation violation.

Gerken was booked and charged with probation violation.

UPDATE 4:30 a.m. - Grants Pass DPS say the roadways are now open and the tactical operations have concluded.

They called it a "tense situation" while thanking the public for their patience.
