A man arrested in September for hit and run and driving under the influence was arrested again on Tuesday – for the same crimes, at nearly the same location.

Just after 10 a.m. Tuesday morning, a resident called dispatch to report a northbound pickup that had crashed into a fence on a property on the 15300-block of Antioch Road. Jackson County Sheriff's Office deputies responded, but the suspect had already driven away in his white Ford F150.

Witnesses followed the suspect, now identified as Jesse Rosenzweig, 35, and gave updates to dispatch as they did. Deputies were able to catch up to Rosenzweig about a mile away from the initial crash site, on Sweet Lane.

Rosenzweig was arrested for driving under the influence of intoxicants, reckless driving, driving while suspended, and failure to perform the duties of a driver when property is damaged (hit and run).

Investigating deputies later learned Rosenzweig had been arrested on September 15th of this year, on charges of a DUII and a hit and run after an early morning crash on Antioch Road. His red GMC pickup struck a fence and rolled over, coming to rest on a property about 500 feet from the spot of the Tuesday crash. At that September incident, Rosenzweig left the crash scene on foot; deputies located him walking down the road and took him into custody.

Both cases have been referred to the Jackson County District Attorney for prosecution. Rosenzweig was arraigned in circuit court on October 17 on charges related to the September case.
