Yreka police searching for stabbing suspect in attempted murder case
YREKA, Calif. —
On Sunday around midnight, Jarrad Allan Peterson stabbed a 39-year-old Yreka man in an altercation, according to Yreka Police.
The victim was transported to Fairchild Medical Center in Yreka for emergency life-threatening surgery. Currently, the man is in stable condition.
Peterson has a warrant out of Siskiyou County for attempted murder. Investigators believe he may be headed to Iowa by bus.
According to an Iowa drivers license obtained by YPD, Peterson has an address out of Sioux City, Iowa. Peterson may still have the weapon he used in the stabbing, a large knife.
23-year-old Peterson is described as a white male with brown hair, brown eyes, standing at 5' 8" and weighing 210 pounds.
