PALMVIEW, Texas (KBGT) - On afternoons at the baseball diamonds in Palmview, Texas children are typically seen practicing with parents cheering them on.

Many of those playing baseball are in middle school or high school, but during a T-Ball game on May 3, adults were seen pushing each other on the baseball diamond.

The cellphone video shows one woman swinging a baseball bat at another person.

Meanwhile, a child is seen standing on first base.

The video has been shared more than 3,000 times on Facebook.

Lizette Muñoz brought her son to a game and we showed her the video.

"I just don't think that's right," Muñoz said.

We wanted to know what Palmview’s Parks and Recreation department had to say about the incident caught on camera.

KGBT visited Palmview’s Parks and Recreation Director Robert Lugo at his office to ask him exactly what happened during the incident and if the city had taken any actions. He declined to comment.

In a written statement, Palmview’s city attorney Eric Flores told us the incident happened on Friday, May 3 at around 6:45 p.m. in the afternoon.

The statement goes on to say that police were notified of, "an incident between two parents during a youth baseball game in which emotions ran high."

The statement says, "none of the children involved in the baseball game were harmed" and "immediate action was taken by Palmview Police and Palmview Parks and Recreation."

KGBT reached out to Palmview police's records department, but said a police report was not ready.

As for parents like Muñoz, she has a few words of advice.

"It’s a kids' game, there's no reason for them to be getting mad," Muñoz said. "More than anything the kids are here to have fun, they don't know about winning or losing."
