WASHINGTON (CIRCA) – An Independent congressional candidate in Virginia has admitted to being a pedophile, according to The Huffington Post.

HuffPost reported Thursday Nathan Larson, a 37-year-old accountant from Charlottesville, Virginia, has also bragged about raping his dead ex-wife online.

“It’s a mix of both,” Larson said when asked whether he is a pedophile or merely writes about the topic.

“When people go over the top there’s a grain of truth to what they say,” added Larson, who now lives in Catlett, Virginia.

“People are open-minded. A lot of people disagree with someone like [President] Trump might vote for them anyway just because the establishment doesn’t like them.”

HuffPost contacted Larson after confirming that his campaign website shared an IP address with two forums that served as meeting spots for pedophiles and violent misogynists.

The pair of chatrooms – and – were both terminated by their domain host Tuesday., a wiki page including details about Larson’s latest candidacy for public office, has also been pulled down.

Larson first ran for Congress in 2008, seeking a seat representing Virginia’s 1st District on a self-described “anarcho-capitalist” platform.

The accountant sent the Secret Service a letter threatening to kill the president that same year, ultimately earning him a 14-month federal prison sentence.

Larson was then banned from seeking public office until then-Virginia Gov. Terry McAuliffe (D) restored voting and other civil rights to thousands of felons in 2016.

The Independent sought Virginia’s House of Delegates District 31 the following year, securing less than 2 percent of the vote.

Larson has a three-year-old daughter living with relatives, and he said relinquished his parental rights during a custody battle.

The candidate’s ex-wife secured a court-ordered restraining order against him in 2015 before committing suicide, and Larson has since remarried.

HuffPost did not see any online posts on or stating Larson engaged in sexual activity with minors.

Larson repeatedly voiced a desire to have sex with infants and children, however, including his own daughter.

The candidate said he had not committed any crimes, adding it is “normal” for men to be attracted to underage women and the word “pedophile” is “vague” and “just a label.”

Larson’s previously online campaign manifesto also called Nazi leader Adolf Hitler a “white supremacist hero” and called for protecting “benevolent white supremacy.”
